Food is a human right, yet far too many people go to bed with an empty stomach each night. 828 million people worldwide are affected by chronic hunger.
Millions of children are growing up malnourished, resulting in severe challenges to their physical, mental and social development. Many more children and adults alike are threatened with starvation and death because they are unable to afford or access the food they need.
It doesn’t need to be this way. But we all must work together to ensure that all people have the food they need.
Since 2013, Embrace Relief has worked to ease hunger worldwide through our Hunger Relief program, which has distributed more than 1.5 million pounds of food to more than 5 million people in over 50 countries. Our Hunger Relief distributions vary according to local needs, but typically take the form of food packages full of nutritious food and cooking materials, hand-delivered directly to people in need. A typical Embrace Relief package costs $50 and provides up to two weeks’ worth of food for a family of five – an invaluable gift for struggling families.
