The Peace Academy of West Texas Youth Club exceeded their goal to fund cataract surgeries, helping people regain vision and hope.
The Peace Academy of West Texas Youth Club, a dedicated group of young volunteers aged 14 to 22, aimed to make a difference beyond their community. After successfully fundraising for a water well, they focused their efforts on a new goal: raising funds for cataract surgery in Africa.
With collaboration, innovation, and effort, the group not only met but exceeded its fundraising target, generating more than $2,980 to assist people who otherwise could not afford sight-restoring surgery. Their dedication exemplifies what teenage leadership can accomplish when compassion meets action.
